The most visited place from Delhi is Agra which has the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world.
Taj Mahal is a structure made up of white marble and has a height of 240 feet . Every year around 8-10 million people from across the world visit here. Built in the 17th century it is the best example of advancement of the architecture and planning of that time.
Apart from Taj Mahal, Agra is famous for its leather products and has large numbers of leather emporiums which have good quality leather products at reasonable rates.
Fatehpur Sikri is a place few miles from Agra in the west direction and houses monuments like Jama Mosque, Tomb of Salim Chisti etc.
3) GOLDEN TEMPLE
Golden temple is situated in Amritsar, Punjab .Golden temple is a preeminent Sikh spiritual site, as name suggests it is made of gold India also shares its border with Pakistan in Amritsar and every evening a parade is held at Wagah Border. Spectators are present on stands at both Indian as well as Pakistan side.
4) CHANDIGARH
Chandigarh is the most planned city in India. It was designed by American architect Albert Mayor in 1949.
Places to visit in Chandigarh are:
-Rock Garden: It is spread over 40 acres and has sculptures made up of rocks. These sculptures are made up of recycled materials as the rocks used were from demolition and construction sites.
-Sukhna Lake: It is a water reservoir whose source river stream Sukhna Choe due its damming. Spread over 3 square kilometres offers a magnificent natural scene of beauty. Boating activity is also present here.
5) NEEMRANA
Neemrana is situated in Alwar district of Rajasthan about 100 km from Delhi. Neemrana is famous for Neemrana fort palace which is built on a hill was built in the 15th century and was restored in the 1980s as a hotel. Many people visit here to experience the royal life which kings and rulers of the time used to live. People visit here to take time off from busy lives which they lead in todays time.
It also has spa and other services which a normal hotel offers. Many new hotels have started budding due to which there are plenty of options in terms of hotels to live in.
